Defined Solar panels harness the sun's protons and create energy. There are several types of panels on the market today. Some of these are amorphous (components impregnated onto a metal base) and usually covered in plastic; mono crystalline (single silicon cell grown into a "family") with a matted glass finish; and polycrystalline (many silicon cells grouped together) also with a matted glass finish.
Which is the best? In our experience, mono crystalline panels seem to be the most productive; however, they are also the most expensive. Polycrystalline and amorphous designs are a close second in regards to output.
